What this site is

Walk-A-Thon.com is a free guide for the people who organize walk-a-thon fundraisers: PTA and PTO volunteers, teachers and principals, church committees, coaches and booster clubs, and nonprofit staff. It covers how walk-a-thons work, how to plan one, and how to raise more, with calculators, a timeline generator and templates you can use straight away.

Nothing here requires an account, and the tools don't store what you type.

Who runs it

Walk-A-Thon.com is owned and run by the same team that operates several fundraising services for schools and community groups: Get Movin' Fundraising (fun runs and walk-a-thons), Read-A-Thon, 32auctions and SignUpHaven. That experience is part of what we bring to the guides. It's also a relationship you should know about.

How we handle that relationship

  • We don't recommend fundraising platforms on this site, including our own. Our guides explain how to run a walk-a-thon with whatever tools you choose.
  • When we mention a service run by our team, we say so on the same page, next to the mention.
  • No paid placements. We don't accept payment for mentions, links or rankings.
  • No invented numbers. We don't publish statistics we can't source. See our editorial standards.

How the site is funded

The site is funded by its owners. It carries no advertising and no paid affiliate links. Links to services run by our own team are labeled.
