One row per documented event. Blank = not published by the source (never zero).

id                   Stable record id (school-city-state-year).
school_or_org        School or organization as named in the source.
org_type / org_group Type as described by the source; org_group is the simplified type used in filters.
city, state_or_region, country   Location (inferences are noted in `limitations`/`notes`).
event_year, event_date           Year and, where published, date of the run (YYYY-MM-DD or YYYY-MM).
grades               Grades taking part, as stated.
participants         Count published by the source; participants_basis says what it counts (runners vs enrollment).
amount_raised        Money figure exactly as published, in `currency`. "More than $20,000" is recorded as 20000.
currency             USD unless stated (MYR, CNY, GBP, CAD for non-US events).
amount_class         actual-final | actual-preliminary (reported before collection closed, "more than", "nearly") |
                     pledged (promised, not collected) | goal | none. A goal is never stored in amount_raised.
amount_basis, amount_text        Source wording behind the amount.
goal                 Fundraising goal, where published.
total_laps, total_miles, lap_length, duration_minutes   Lap and time data as published.
top_individual_laps, top_individual_note                Top student's laps (staff excluded) and context. No names.
pledge_model         per-lap | flat | both | unknown, as described by the source.
per_lap_rates, funds_for, years_running                 As published.
per_participant      OUR CALCULATION: amount_raised ÷ participants, only for single-year US actual amounts with a runner count.
avg_laps_per_runner  OUR CALCULATION: total_laps ÷ participants (runners only).
avg_pace_m_per_min   OUR CALCULATION: avg laps × lap length (m) ÷ duration.
top_pace_m_per_min   OUR CALCULATION: top student's laps × lap length (m) ÷ minutes.
source_publisher, source_title, source_url, source_type, source_published   The public source.
source_status        Result of the final check on Oct 19, 2026: live | redirected (see final_url) | archived (see archive_url) | inaccessible.
